Muslims have a significant role in Indian History.
It was during 8th century when they first visited India but with an eye on Indian wealth and a plan of looting it.
But the effect of Muslim on Indian culture started after Babur invaded and ruled for quite a time.
It was his family that created a lot difference in Indian scenario. But still there was a huge gap between Hindus and Muslims in India and that helped Britishers. And unfortunately their strategy of divide and rule helped them significantly.
But that time also saw both the communities uniting for national cause.
So e can say that Muslims are now an integral part of India.
